Interested in getting started with Shiery’s Tutoring? We are excited to offer a wide variety of individual tutoring, reading & writing, test prep, and even college counseling classes to meet your students’ needs.
Would your child benefit from guided academic assistance?
We believe that high quality teaching is as important if not more so than high quality curriculum. This is why we only hire experienced teachers and tutors who have completed programs designed around teaching pedagogy and best practices in educating all students. All of our tutors also have years of experience tutoring students in key academic subjects and are looking forward to supporting your students.
Have a student preparing for the ACT, SAT, or other Standardized Test?
Our classes are designed to help students strategically improve their overall scores while simultaneously building skills in key focus areas aligned with the test questions. Not sure where to start? We offer a free diagnostic test each quarter to help students establish a baseline and strategically build out a study plan until their test date(s).
Would your student benefit from additional reading and writing instruction?
Our Reading and Writing classes are designed to not only improve a wide array of reading and writing skills, but to help your students enjoy reading and writing more. Each class focuses on a key skill area to make sure your students develop into strong readers and writers regardless of the topic. Students will spend time each week writing, critically reading, and building grammar and/ or vocabulary skills all the while having fun!
Is your student starting to think about college?
This service is designed to support current juniors and seniors through the college application journey. Whether your student needs help finding colleges, or they are working on their personal statements, we are there to support them. Our goal is to help your student think intentionally about their applications and maximize their chances at selective colleges and universities.
